As a Trainee Refrigeration Installation Specialist (Federal VET Certificate), you work at the interface between technology and everyday life. You assist with the assembly and installation of refrigeration systems designed to ensure comfortable room temperatures and keep food reliably fresh. In the process, you frequently work directly at our customers’ premises and collaborate closely with a team of experienced specialists.

An important part of your work is the careful and responsible management of technology, energy and the environment. You help to install and maintain refrigeration systems properly so that they operate safely, reliably and in an energy-efficient manner. You also learn to comply with safety and environmental protection regulations in order to avoid risks and work according to sustainability principles. Your varied and hands-on working day will provide you with a solid first step into the world of refrigeration technology.

Your activities

As a Trainee Refrigeration Installation Specialist (Federal VET Certificate), you assist with the production, installation and commissioning of refrigeration systems.

You work on pipes and fittings, assemble equipment such as compressors and pumps, and help to maintain and dismantle existing systems. You prepare pipes, assemble individual components and help to repair refrigeration systems. Your duties also include the proper removal and disposal of systems.

You work as part of a team, are involved in new construction and renovation projects, help with servicing and maintenance and gain valuable practical experience in everyday professional life.

Work preparation and completion

You carefully prepare assembly tasks and ensure that these are completed properly and in full.

Processing of pipes and components

You cut, bend, weld and assemble pipes and components in accordance with the plans and fit the components to operational systems.

Manufacture and installation of insulation

You manufacture insulation and install it correctly to avoid energy loss and protect systems.

Assisting with repairs

You assist with the repair and maintenance of refrigeration systems and help with troubleshooting.

Removal and disposal of systems

You are involved in the proper removal and environmentally friendly disposal of refrigeration systems.
