Brice Venturini is one of our most extraordinary employees. An experienced triathlete with a passion for outdoor sports, he has set himself the daring challenge of climbing Mont Blanc and paragliding over its glacier. What does he hope to achieve? He hopes to raise awareness of the melting glaciers, one of the most dramatic reminders of global warming in the Alpine regions.

At Equans Switzerland, we are committed to building a sustainable and habitable world – now and in the future. As such, we are proud to support Brice in this momentous venture.

Who is Brice?

Brice is the father of two daughters and is passionate about outdoor sports. A triathlete for more than ten years, he participated in the World Championships in Hawaii and the European Championships in Hamburg. He is dedicated to his Equans Switzerland position as Electricity Site Manager in Geneva. Thanks to the support of the company, he can now take up this challenge for a cause which is particularly close to his heart.

What is Hike & Fly?

Hike & Fly is a quintessential and popular discipline of paragliding. Its principle is simple: climb the peaks using nothing but leg power, then take off by paraglider from a natural piste. Before each flight, the pilot rigorously checks their equipment and chooses the best aerological conditions for take-off. They use thermals (columns of hot air) to prolong and stabilise the flight.

Safety is at the heart of this sport. It relies on a precise analysis of the weather, rigorous preparation of the route, professional supervision and strict compliance with safety protocols. Every flight reflects a subtle balance of passion, performance and responsibility.
